Nolan is a unique case as he enters a whole different world as a 40-year-old rookie. His unusual age factor which makes him the oldest LAPD rookie sees skepticism from the higher-ups who view him as just a walking midlife crisis. If he fails to keep up with his fellow 20 years junior cops and the ever-evolving criminals, things take a wrong turn, putting the lives of people around him at risk as well as his own. But if he can use his life experience, determination, and sense of humor to give him an edge, he may just manage to turn things around and become a hit in this uncertain new chapter of his life.
