Bitter Jester Week 3
Oak Park funk band Summer Push took leading honors at 7 days 2 of 2021’s Bitter Jester Music Festival in Highland Park past weekend. This Friday, North Shore band F.L.A.M.E., Feed the Monkeys, Fluctuation, Monsoon, 1 Guy Ginger Band and Rapid and Pain-free take the phase to vie for a location at the Sept. 5 Grand Finale concert. Ravinia’s new theater and Bernstein
This Saturday, Ravinia Pageant launches an enjoyable new theatrical presenting to the tune of a small Bernstein. The Ravinia Tunes Box, a 65-seat theater space nestled near the park’s dining pavilion, opens Saturday with the immersive “Bernstein’s Respond to,” a presentation about the lifestyle and music of famed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. The theater, which also consists of a museum gallery house, will be free of charge to Ravinia concertgoers and will be open up from the park’s opening right up until the start of just about every day’s concert, as perfectly as field excursions through the school calendar year.
